UPSC Launches New Online Application Portal – Apply Easily www.upsconline.nic.in
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has introduced a new Online Application Portal to simplify and streamline the registration and application process for all upcoming UPSC examinations. UPSC launches a new Online Application Portal from 28th May 2025. Candidates must register afresh at upsconline.nic.in for CDS-II and NDA & NA-II exams.
Transition from Old OTR System: The old One Time Registration (OTR) system is discontinued.

Key Highlights of the New UPSC Online Application Portal
The portal is divided into 4 parts:
1. Account Creation
2. Universal Registration
3. Common Application Form
4. Examination-Specific Section (exam notices, application submission, and status)
- First 3 sections can be filled at any time and kept ready for future applications.
- Only the 4th section needs to be filled when a specific exam is announced.
- This approach reduces last-minute rush, allowing candidates to prepare their profiles in advance.
Aadhaar Card Preferred:
- Applicants are strongly encouraged to use their Aadhaar card for registration.
- This enables seamless verification and serves as a permanent record across all exams.
Effective From
- The new portal goes live on 28th May 2025.
- Applications for the following exams will be accepted through the new system
