GO MS No 17 MEDICAL REIMBERSMENT TO PENSIONERS



GO MS No 17 Dt 16.09.2014 Health, Medical & Family Welfare Department - Medical Reimbursement to the pensioner after bifurcation of the State of Telangana - Certain clarification orders – Issued.

HEALTH MEDICAL AND FAMILY WELFARE (A2) DEPARTMENT



O R D E R :-
In the Government order 1st read above, permission was accorded for all the retired Government employees and their dependents to avail the option of drawing medical reimbursement amount in the office where the employee last worked or in the District Office of the Department concerned where the retired employee has settled after his retirement.
2.In view of bifurcation, Government have issued orders, in G.O.Ms.No.103, Health, Medical & Family Welfare (K2) Department dated 31.05.2014 wherein it was ordered to adopt the following procedure in the matter of medical reimbursement of pensioners:-
1.The medical reimbursement of pensioners shall be drawn from the Head of the Department of the Sate where he is drawing his pension.
2.After disbursement of medical reimbursement, the amount may be apportioned between the two States as was done in the case of Pension and pensionery benefits.
3.Government after careful consideration of the matter hereby ordered that all the retired Government employees and their dependents to avail the option of drawing medical reimbursement amount in the office where the employees last worked or in the District Office of the Department concerned where the retired employees has settled after his / her retirement. The expenditure on medical reimbursement of retired Government employees and their dependents shall be debited to the following Head of Account :

After disbursement of medical reimbursement, the amount may be apportioned between the two States as was done in the case of Pension and pensionery benefits.
4. All Telangana Secretariat Departments and all the Heads of the Departments shall take action accordingly in the matter.
This order issues with the concurrence of the Finance (EBS) Department vide their U.O.No.487/92/EBS.I/A1/2014, dated 28.08.2014.
