SSC CGL 2023 Recruitment Exam for 7500 Vacancies - Apply Online

 The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) 2023 Notification which is to fill up  Group B and Group C posts in various Ministries / Departments of Government of India. Application process will be fully online mode only.  Online Application started on 3rd April 2023 and it will be lasted up to 3rd May, 2023. Fee Payment Online can be paid up to 4th May, 2023. SSC CGL Vacancy Details:

3 Vacancies and Reservation:

Tentative vacancies: There are approx. 7,500 vacancies. However, firm vacancies will be determined in due course. Updated vacancies, if any, along with Post-wise& category-wise vacancies will be made available on the website of the Commission (https://ssc.nic.in> Candidate’s Corner > Tentative Vacancy) in due course. Candidates may note that State-wise/ Zone-wise vacancies are not collected by the Commission.

Reservation for Scheduled Castes(SC), Scheduled Tribes(ST), Other Backward Classes(OBC), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Ex-Servicemen (ESM) and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates for all the categories of posts/services, wherever applicable and admissible, would be as determined and communicated by the Indenting Ministries/ Departments/ Offices/ Cadres, as per extant Government Orders.

Vacancies for ESM are reserved for only Group “C” posts.

The Commission will consider the suitability of posts for various benchmark disabilities under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act, 2016 in accordance with Notification No. 38-16/2020-DD-III dated 04.01.2021 issued by Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment or as identified and intimated by the Indenting Departments/ Organizations for specific posts.

The Commission makes the selection of candidates in accordance with the vacancies reported by the Indenting Departments/ Organizations for various posts. The Commission does not have any role in deciding the number of vacancies of any Indenting Department/ Organization. Implementation of reservation policy, maintaining reservation roster, earmarking of vacancies for different categories and identification of suitability of posts for suitable for various benchmark disabilities, are under the domain of the Indenting Departments/ Organizations.


Eligibility for SSC CGL Exam 2023 : Bachelor's degree from a recognized university / institute. Students who are studying for the final year of the degree can apply. However, the relevant qualification should be completed by 01.01.2023

Selection Procedure: The selection process consists of 4 stages as follow

1) Tier-1: Computer Based Test

2) Tier-2: Computer Based Test

3) Tier-3: In pen and paper format (descriptive paper)

4) Tier-4: Based on Computer Proficiency Test / Data Entry Skill Test.

Application Fee: Rs.100 / - for others, no fee for SC / ST / Women / PWD / Ex-Servicemen candidates

How to apply:

Applications must be submitted only in online mode at the website of SSC Headquarter i.e.https://ssc.nic.in. For detailed instructions, please refer to Annexure-III and Annexure-IV. Sample proforma of One-time Registration and online Application Form are attached as Annexure-IIIA and Annexure-IVA respectively.

In the online Application Form, candidates are required to upload the scanned colour passport size photograph in JPEG format (20 KB to 50 KB). The photograph should not be more than three months old from the date of publication of the Notice of Examination. Image dimension of the photograph should be about 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height). The photograph should be without cap, spectacles and the frontal view of the face should be clearly visible.

If the proper photograph is not uploaded by a candidate, his candidature will be cancelled. Specimen of photographs which are acceptable/ not acceptable is given at Annexure-V.

Last date and time for submission of online applications is 03-05-2023 (23:00).

Candidates are advised in their own interest to submit the online application much before the closing date and not to wait till the last date to avoid the possibility of disconnection/ inability or failure to login to the SSC website on account of heavy load on the website during the closing days.

The Commission will not be responsible for the candidates not being able to submit their applications within the last date on account of the aforesaid reasons or for any other reason beyond the control of the Commission.

Before submission of the online application, candidates must check through Preview/ Print option that they have filled correct details in each field of the form.


Before going to fill up the Online Application form they have to Complete One Time registration Process. After the Completing the One Time Registration, Need login using User ID and Password.
